Some shameless joy here. My son's 16U hockey team, Fox Motors AAA (ranked 7 in the country) defeated their rival from Detroit, Honeybaked Ham (ranked 4th in the country) in a game they played here at home 5-3. They actually scored two scrub goals at the end or it would easily have been 5-1.
We beat that team for the first time earlier and then on Saturday. Our record against them is something like 2-20-1 over the years and we have lost to them 2 or 3 other times this season, but it certainly is nice being the victor.
When our team plays hard and well, they can beat anyone. We are almost certain to face them again in our state playoffs. It promises to be a very good game.
